Notes:

Elderly passengers require more careful preparation when traveling by air to ensure their health and comfort. Below is a summary of the most important points to note:

1. Preparation before the flight

 - Health check-up: It is recommended to have a general health check before flying, especially for those with cardiovascular, blood pressure, or respiratory conditions.

- Personal medication: Always carry prescribed medications in your hand luggage. Keep them in their original packaging and bring the doctor’s prescription (in case of security checks or if additional medication is needed).

- Seat selection: Priority should be given to aisle seats for easier access to the restroom or light movement, and seats closer to the front of the aircraft for quicker disembarkation.

- Support services: Do not hesitate to pre-book wheelchair or mobility assistance services at the airport if health is weak or mobility is limited.

2. During the flight

 - In-seat movement: To reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), rotate your ankles, stretch your legs, or walk gently along the aisle once every hour.

- Stay hydrated: The air on an aircraft is very dry. Drink plenty of water and limit tea, coffee, or alcohol as they can cause dehydration and increase the need to use the restroom.

- Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable, breathable clothing and bring a light jacket or scarf, as cabin temperatures are often low.

3. Safety and psychological considerations

 - Inform cabin crew: If you feel tired, short of breath, or experience any unusual symptoms, press the call button and inform the cabin crew immediately.

- Identification documents: Always carry your health insurance card and emergency contact information in your pocket or hand luggage.

- Meals: It is advisable to eat lightly before the flight and avoid foods that may cause bloating or indigestion.
