Kazakhstan
To provide passengers with useful information for a smooth journey, Sun PhuQuoc Airways compiles and updates entry information for various countries. However, actual regulations may change, and passengers should verify information carefully with the competent authorities of the destination country.
1. Identification Documents
Before departing from Vietnam, passengers must prepare all identification documents required for international flights in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
Vietnamese citizens entering visa-free: the ordinary passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
Note: The passport must be valid and must not show any signs of extension or alteration of its validity period through stamps, notes, or handwriting. Specific requirements regarding passport validity period and the number of blank pages may depend on the type of document and the passenger's form of entry. If the passenger holds a Kazakhstan visa/e-Visa, the passport must remain valid for at least 3 months beyond the required visa period and must have at least 2 blank pages.
2. Visa
Vietnamese citizens are exempt from a visa to enter Kazakhstan for a stay of no more than 30 days from the date of crossing the border. This visa exemption applies to ordinary Vietnamese passports.
The total visa-free stay must not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period.
Passengers wishing to stay longer than 30 days, or who fall under cases requiring a visa, must complete the appropriate visa application procedures before entry.
Kazakhstan has an e-Visa system for certain nationalities and entry purposes. However, eligibility for the e-Visa depends on nationality, purpose of travel, and visa type; passengers should check the eligibility conditions here.
Note: Visitors who are visa exempt but do not hold return/onward tickets could be refused entry.
3. Entry Declaration Form
Kazakhstan does not require passengers to complete an arrival card or migration card on entry.
A customs declaration is required only if passengers carry cash exceeding USD 10,000 (or the equivalent) or goods exceeding the duty-free allowances (see sections 5 and 6).
Notification of stay: the hotel or the receiving individual/organisation must notify the migration authorities of the passenger's stay within 3 working days of entry (via the eQonaq system). Passengers staying at a private residence should ask the host to complete this procedure.
4. Quarantine Regulations
No COVID-19 vaccination certificate or test result is required for entry.
Passengers arriving from, or transiting through, a country with risk of yellow fever transmission must present a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Passengers on direct flights from Vietnam are not affected.
Food of animal or plant origin and pets must comply with Kazakhstan's veterinary and phytosanitary regulations; pets require a veterinary certificate.
5. Currency Regulations
Entry: There is no limit on the amount of KZT or foreign currency that may be brought into Kazakhstan. If carrying more than USD 10,000 (or the equivalent), passengers must make a customs declaration.
Departure: There is no limit on the amount of KZT or foreign currency that may be taken out of Kazakhstan. If carrying more than USD 10,000 (or the equivalent), passengers must make a customs declaration.
