To help passengers prepare for a smooth journey, Sun PhuQuoc Airways provides the latest available information on entry requirements for various destinations. As regulations may change without prior notice, passengers are strongly advised to verify the latest requirements with the relevant authorities of their destination before travelling.

1. Travel Documents

Before departing from Vietnam, passengers must prepare all required international travel documents in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.

Note: Passengers' passports and other travel documents used for entry into Malaysia must be valid for at least six (6) months from the intended date of arrival.

Passports and passport replacing documents of non-Malaysian nationals must contain at least one unused page for entry/departure endorsements by the Malaysian Immigration Service. The pages reserved for "Observations" or "Amendments and Endorsements" are not considered valid unused pages.

2. Visa

Vietnamese citizens are exempt from visa requirements for entry into Malaysia for stays of up to 30 days.

Malaysia grants visa exemption to nationals of many countries. However, citizens of certain countries are required to obtain a visa before entering Malaysia. Please visit the Visa Requirements by Country website for more information.

Vietnamese citizens intending to stay in Malaysia for more than 30 days or those who require a Malaysian visa should visit the Entry Requirements webpage and follow the relevant instructions.

Passengers may apply for an e-Visa through the Online Visa Application website. Passengers must carry a printed e-Visa confirmation when checking in and upon arrival in Malaysia.

3. Arrival Declaration

Passengers travelling to Malaysia are required to submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online at least three (3) days before arrival, except for:

• Malaysian and Singaporean citizens;
• Holders of diplomatic and official passports;
• Malaysian permanent residents and holders of long-term residence passes;
• Holders of the Brunei Darussalam General Certificate of Identity (GCI);
• Members of the Brunei–Malaysia Frequent Traveller Programme (BMFTP);
• Holders of the Thailand Border Pass;
• Holders of the Indonesia Border Pass (PLB);

4. Quarantine Requirements

Passengers arriving in Malaysia within six (6) days after departing from or transiting through a country or territory with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission, and who do not possess a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, may be subject to quarantine for up to six (6) days.

The following passengers are exempt from the Yellow Fever vaccination requirement:

• Children under one (1) year of age;
• Passengers transiting through Malaysia without leaving the transit area;
• Passengers who only transited through a country or territory with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission within 12 hours and did not leave the transit area during transit.

5. Currency Regulations

Import: Passengers may bring Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and foreign currencies into Malaysia without restriction. However, amounts exceeding MYR 30,000 or USD 10,000 (or the equivalent in other currencies) must be declared if the passenger intends to re-export such funds upon departure.

Export: Passengers may take out up to MYR 30,000 and USD 10,000 (or the equivalent in other currencies). Amounts exceeding these limits may only be exported if they were declared upon arrival in Malaysia.
