From February 13 to February 25, coinciding with Lunar New Year, Sun PhuQuoc Airways has welcomed four new, fully owned aircraft, bringing its total fleet to 10 aircraft after just over three months of commercial operations.
On February 13, a Sun PhuQuoc Airways Airbus A320neo financed by Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) landed at Noi Bai International Airport.
Subsequently, the airline received two Airbus A321neo aircraft on February 16 and February 20, respectively. On February 25, Sun PhuQuoc Airways also further received an Airbus A320neo, financed by the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), completing the addition of four new aircraft to the fleet in February. The participation of major financial institutions such as VietinBank and Agribank in financing these aircraft affirms market confidence in the airline’s long-term development strategy.
The new aircraft belong to the A320/A321neo family, a modern generation of narrow-body aircraft known for fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. All four aircraft are brand-new and fully owned by Sun PhuQuoc Airways. They will enter commercial service in February, increasing the airline’s fleet to 10 aircraft just over three months after its inaugural commercial flight. This rapid fleet expansion demonstrates not only strong financial capability but also supports the airline’s international network expansion plans.

Starting March 29, 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate its first international route connecting Taipei and Phu Quoc. From Q2 2026 onward, the airline will continue expanding Phu Quoc’s connectivity to key international destinations including South Korea (Seoul and Busan), Thailand (Bangkok), Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan (Kaohsiung), and India (Mumbai and New Delhi).
Alongside international expansion, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is strengthening its domestic network to meet multi-destination travel demand. The airline plans to launch Hanoi - Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang routes from February 25, 2026, and Phu Quoc - Da Nang and Phu Quoc – Nha Trang routes from March 15, 2026. In addition, frequencies on existing routes including Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc - Hanoi, and Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City will be increased during the Lunar New Year peak period.
As Vietnam’s first airline named after an island, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is invested and developed by Sun Group under a “hub-and-spoke” network model, directly connecting Phu Quoc with major tourism and economic centers domestically and internationally through direct flights at reasonable fares and seamless experiences integrated with the Pearl Island ecosystem. The airline has become one of the few young carriers in Vietnam to establish a fully integrated operational ecosystem, having consecutively completed key certifications from the Civil
Aviation Authority of Vietnam. In December 2025 and January 2026, SPA recorded the highest on-time performance across Vietnam’s domestic aviation industry.
