Free name correction refers to the support or permission to modify part of a booking or passenger name in cases of spelling errors, information exchange, missing or extra middle names, or other unintentional mistakes.

- Only one correction is allowed.

- Corrections cannot be accumulated.

- The correction must be made before the check-in counter closes.

- Corrections do not apply to tickets that have been partially used.

- Incorrect by 1 character in the family name and/or 1 character in the given name.

Example: Hoang Ngoc Nam => Hoan Ngoc Lam

- Spelling error correction.

Example: Tran Van Chung => Tran Van Trung

- Add abbreviated part, without changing the family name.

Example: Nguyen H Hong Quan => Nguyen Hoang Hong Quan

- Add or correct title.

Example: Tran Van Thanh MR => Tran Van Thanh MRS

- Vietnamese names missing or having an extra middle name “Thị” or “Văn”.

Example: Nguyen Anh => Nguyen Thi Anh

- Non-Vietnamese names missing or having an extra given or middle name; family name correction is not allowed.

Example: Mantrant Jean Marie => Mantrant Marie

- Name correction recognized in writing by the local government authority.
