Singapore
To provide passengers with useful information for a smooth journey, Sun PhuQuoc Airways compiles and updates entry requirements for various countries. However, actual regulations may change from time to time. Passengers are advised to carefully check the latest information from the competent authorities of their destination country.
1. Travel Documents
Before departing on a flight from Vietnam, passengers must prepare all required identification documents for international travel in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
Note: Passports and other accepted travel documents for entry into Singapore must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry.
2. Visa Requirements
Vietnamese citizens are exempt from visa requirements for entry into Singapore for a stay of up to 30 days. However, visa-free entry does not guarantee admission. Travellers must still meet the entry requirements set by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), including:
- A passport valid for at least six (6) months
- A return ticket or an onward ticket to another destination
- Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
- Presentation of travel itinerary if required
Vietnamese citizens intending to stay in Singapore for more than 30 days must obtain a valid visa in accordance with regulations. Further information is available here.
3. Arrival Declaration
All foreign visitors arriving in Singapore are required to submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) online within three (3) days (including the day of arrival) prior to entry, except for:
- Travellers transiting through Singapore without clearing immigration
- Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Long-Term Pass holders entering via land checkpoints
Passengers are advised to complete the declaration via the official online portal or through the MyICA mobile application.
4. Health Control Requirements
All travellers, including Singapore residents, who have travelled to countries at risk of yellow fever transmission within six (6) days prior to arrival in Singapore (regardless of region, city, or area) are required to present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate to ICA officers upon arrival.
Further information is available here.
5. Currency Regulations
There are no restrictions on the import or export of local currency (Singapore Dollars – SGD) or foreign currency. However, travellers carrying cash and/or bearer negotiable instruments exceeding SGD 20,000 (or its equivalent) must declare them upon arrival or departure. This includes traveller’s cheques, bearer cheques, bills of exchange, or promissory notes.
Further information is available here.
6. Pet Regulations
Passengers carrying pets or transiting with pets via Singapore must obtain an import or transshipment permit issued by the Singapore National Parks Board (NParks) / Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) prior to departure. Pets must also meet all requirements relating to vaccinations, quarantine, and health certification in accordance with regulations. In certain cases, quarantine may be required upon arrival.
Detailed information and application procedures are available on the official NParks/AVS website.
From 1 April 2026, pet owners will be required to appoint an AVS-accredited pet agent before their pets arrive in Singapore.
Further information is available here.
7. Other Regulations
Passengers bringing food for personal consumption into Singapore are advised to check the list of permitted food items for personal import. If in doubt, passengers must declare all food items to officers of the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) upon arrival.
Passengers bringing plants or products containing plant or animal materials into Singapore must obtain the required permits and prepare the appropriate documentation. For further details, please refer to the website of the National Parks Board (NParks), Singapore.
