Unaccompanied minors
To assist young passengers traveling without a parent or guardian, ensuring they are safely cared for from check-in until being reunited with a family member at the destination, Sun PhuQuoc Airways provides an unaccompanied minor service.
Unaccompanied Minor (UM) refers to a passenger aged 4 up to under 12 years (not yet reached their 12th birthday) as of the departure date of each unaccompanied flight segment or traveling alone in the passenger's service class. The passenger is not accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult (aged 18 years or older as of the departure date of the flight segment) on the same flight with the same flight number and service class.
Youth Traveling Alone (YPTA) refers to a passenger aged 12 up to under 18 years (not yet reached their 18th birthday) as of the departure date of each unaccompanied flight segment or traveling alone in the passenger's service class. The passenger is not accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult (aged 18 years or older as of the departure date of the flight segment) on the same flight with the same flight number and service class.
1. General Conditions
a. Passengers are accepted for transport only after their legal parent/guardian signs a responsibility agreement with Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
b. UM passengers are only accepted if their legal parent/guardian will meet them at the destination or transfer point.
c. The service is only accepted when booked through the Ticket Office or Call Center.
d. The accompanying attendant service is only accepted when booked through the Ticket Office or by email.
e. In cases where UM/YPTA service was not pre-booked and a request arises at the airport, Sun PhuQuoc Airways representatives will check eligibility and make a decision based on the actual situation to accept or deny transport.
f. UM passengers are only accepted in the economy class cabin.
g. Sun PhuQuoc Airways reserves the right to refuse transport and is not liable for any costs if the UM/YPTA passenger information differs from reality at airport check-in, resulting in unsuitability for transport or non-compliance with acceptance rules and conditions.
2. UM aged 4 up to under 6 years
a. The passenger must be booked with the accompanying attendant service.
b. The service must be booked at least 3 days before the scheduled departure date.
3. UM aged 6 up to under 12 years
a. The accompanying attendant service is not mandatory.
b. There is no limit on the number of UM passengers on each flight.
c. The service must be booked at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
4. YPTA aged 12 up to 18 years
a. Passengers are accepted in all service classes.
b. The service must be booked at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
1. Three copies of the Responsibility Agreement (kept at the Ticket Office where the service is booked, by the SPA representative at the airport, and in the UM transport file).
2. Five copies of the Unaccompanied Minor Transport Form – hereinafter referred to as "UM Transport Form": 3 copies for the UM transport company at the three airports (departure, transfer, arrival) for record keeping; 2 copies for the flight attendants on the two flights.
3. UM travel documents:
- Birth certificate and/or passport
- VISA (if applicable)
4. Health certificate (if the passenger falls under the category requiring health clearance before the flight).
5. UM travel documents and other documents as required by the responsible authorities at the relevant airports.
- Passengers booking UM/YPTA service and the accompanying attendant service must pay the service fee.
- UM passengers and the person dropping off the child at the departure airport must arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time of the flight.
- The person dropping off the child at the departure airport must complete all pre-flight procedures and may only leave the airport after the aircraft has taken off.
- The person picking up the child at the arrival airport must be present at least 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time of the flight.
- The person dropping off or picking up the child must present all documents proving identity and provide information exactly as registered in the UM Transport Form.
