Health status confirmation requirements

To ensure a smooth flight, passengers are advised to check with Sun PhuQuoc Airways for additional health clearance requirements in special cases applicable to their journey.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways requires passengers to obtain health clearance prior to the flight if they exhibit at least one of the following medical conditions:

  • LEGL (Left Leg in Cast) – for passengers with the entire left leg or knee in a cast.
  • LEGR (Right Leg in Cast) – for passengers with the entire right leg or knee in a cast.
  • LEGB (Both Legs in Cast) – for passengers with both legs or knees in a cast.
  • Passengers with diabetes and/or other conditions requiring insulin injections to be administered on board as prescribed by a doctor.
  • Passengers requiring special medical care.
  • Passengers with infectious or contagious diseases that may pose a risk to themselves or others on the flight.
  • Passengers whose physical condition or behavior may endanger or disturb other passengers.
  • Passengers whose condition may impact flight safety or punctuality, including potential diversion or emergency landing.
  • Passengers with terminal illnesses.
  • Passengers with reduced or lost self-care ability requiring special assistance.
  • Passengers with health conditions that may adversely affect the flight.
  • Passengers with allergies that could pose a serious life-threatening risk.
  • Passengers undergoing non-critical medical care who can safely complete the flight, or whose condition may worsen during air travel.
  • Passengers exhibiting abnormal behavior due to medical treatment or intellectual impairment that may worsen their health or affect the safety of others and flight operations.
  • Passengers whose health may deteriorate during transport and require special medical attention on board.
  • Passengers who recently required emergency care on board or at the airport, causing delays, diversions, or emergency landings, but still wish to continue their flight with Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
  • Any other passengers who do not show signs listed above but are deemed by Sun PhuQuoc Airways to require pre-flight health clearance before transportation is approved.

  • Medical drugs without radioactive materials (including inhalers).
  • Pacemakers with radioactive isotopes or other implanted medical devices.
  • Portable electronic medical devices (AEDs, nebulizers, CPAP machines, etc.) containing lithium metal or lithium-ion batteries.
  • Portable electronic medical devices using lithium metal batteries containing less than 2g of lithium or lithium-ion batteries with a Watt-hour rating below 100Wh.
  • Spare batteries for portable electronic medical devices using lithium metal batteries containing less than 2g of lithium or lithium-ion batteries with a Watt-hour rating below 100Wh.
  • Portable electronic medical devices using lithium metal batteries containing 2g to 8g of lithium or lithium-ion batteries with a Watt-hour rating from 100Wh to 160Wh.
  • Spare batteries for portable electronic medical devices using lithium metal batteries containing 2g to 8g of lithium or lithium-ion batteries with a Watt-hour rating from 100Wh to 160Wh.
  • Small medical thermometers or temperature measurement devices containing mercury.

  • Aged 18 years or older (as of the flight departure date).
  • Healthy (in a condition suitable for travel), physically able, and capable of understanding flight attendant instructions to assist cabin crew if needed.
  • Physically and mentally fit to assist passengers with limited mobility in case of an emergency evacuation.
  • Traveling on the same flight, date, segment, and class of service as the passenger requiring special assistance.
  • Not classified as a passenger with special medical or mobility conditions.
  • Possess medical expertise or training as prescribed by a doctor (if applicable).

The medical certificate must include the following information:

  • Passenger information: Full name, age, gender.
  • Doctor’s information: Name, address, phone number, place of practice.
  • Medical diagnoses regarding the passenger’s health condition or illness.
  • Prognosis of the passenger’s medical condition with respect to the planned flight.
  • Whether the passenger’s condition may affect other passengers.
  • Date the medical assessment was performed.
  • Doctor’s signature.

The medical certificate must be issued no more than 7 days prior to the actual date of departure.
