Identification documents and Visa
To ensure a smooth journey and avoid complications during airline and immigration procedures, passengers of Sun PhuQuoc Airways are required to prepare all necessary personal identification documents as prescribed (based on Appendix VII on Personal Information for Air Travel; identity documents, tickets, boarding passes, issued in accordance with Circular No. 42/2023/TT-BGTVT dated December 29, 2023, by the Minister of Transport).
1. Passengers aged 14 years and above, when checking in for domestic flights, must present one of the following documents:
- Passport or travel document, visa sticker, permanent residence card, temporary residence card, or Citizen Identification Card.
- Identification or certification issued by the People's Public Security or the People's Military; identification or certification issued by the People's Public Security as prescribed in Decree No. 59/2008/ND-CP dated 08/05/2008 by the Government; Circular No. 13/2008/TT-BCA dated 29/08/2008 by the Ministry of Public Security, such as: ID card issued to officers and non-commissioned officers serving in the People's Public Security; certificate issued to non-commissioned officers and soldiers with fixed term service; workers, employees; temporary recruits serving in the People's Public Security. Identification or certification of the People's Military is prescribed in Decree No. 130/2008/ND-CP dated 19/12/2008; Decree No. 59/2016/ND-CP dated 01/07/2016 by the Government; Circular No. 218/2016/TT-BQP dated 27/12/2016 by the Ministry of National Defense, such as: ID for officers of the People's Military; professional military personnel ID, national defense workers and officials; card for non-commissioned officers and active soldiers; reservist officer card; professional military personnel card and reservist non-commissioned officers and soldiers.
- National Assembly delegate card.
- Party membership card.
- Press card issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications as prescribed in Circular No. 49/2016/TT-BTTTT dated 26/12/2016 by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Vietnamese driving license for car or motorcycle. Note: IDP issued in Vietnam is not valid for domestic use according to Circular No. 29/2015/TT-BGTVT dated 06/07/2015 by the Ministry of Transport.
- Card issued by the National Civil Aviation Security Committee.
- Airport or aviation security control card with long-term validity.
- Passenger's Level 2 electronic identification account.
- Identity confirmation document issued by the local police of the ward or commune of permanent or temporary residence (document must include: issuing authority, person confirming; date of confirmation; full name, date of birth, gender, place of birth, permanent residence of the confirmed person; reason for confirmation. Document must have photo, official stamp, and is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance).
- Document from a competent authority certifying that the passenger has just completed serving a court sentence.
2. Vietnamese passengers aged from 14 years to not more than 14 years 20 days may use the same documents as passengers under 14 years old for flight check-in.
3. Passengers under 14 years old without their own passport, or traveling with a parent's passport, when checking in for domestic flights, must present one of the following documents:
- Birth certificate; civil status extract; birth certificate extract (extract of birth information); document certifying civil status information; for infants under 2 months without a birth certificate, a birth notification certificate is required; passenger's Level 2 electronic identification account; personal information of the passenger in the Level 2 electronic identification account of the accompanying parent or guardian.
- Certificate from a social organization for children under the care of the organization (valid for 6 months from the date of issuance).
- Identity confirmation document issued by the police authority (must include: issuing authority, person confirming; date of confirmation; full name, date of birth, gender, permanent residence of the confirmed person; reason for confirmation. Document is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance).
- Citizen Identification Card or passport (own passport or accompanying parent's passport).
Passengers, when checking in for domestic flights, must present the original of one of the following documents:
- Passport (with the most recent entry stamp) or travel document valid for international travel (with the most recent entry stamp) along with related residence documents in Vietnam (visa, permanent residence card, temporary residence card, APEC Business Travel Card), except for cases exempt from visa requirements.
- Diplomatic ID issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, or international organization representative offices.
- Vietnamese driving license (car or motorcycle). For foreign driving licenses, the passenger must carry both an International Driving Permit (IDP) and the national driving license, in compliance with Circular No. 29/2015/TT-BGTVT dated 06/07/2015 by the Ministry of Transport.
- Airport or aviation security control card with long-term validity.
- In case of a lost passport, the passenger must have a consular certification from the diplomatic or consular authority of the passenger's nationality, or an official document from the Department of Foreign Affairs (with confirmation from the local police where the passport was lost), certifying the passenger’s identity and the passport loss, including a photo and official stamp. The certification or official document is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
- Passenger's Level 2 electronic identification account.
When completing flight check-in procedures, it is only necessary to have documents issued by competent authorities proving the escort and to present the types of documents mentioned above.
- Must be the original and still valid; or an electronic version with legal validity as prescribed.
- For birth certificates, civil status extracts; birth certificate extracts (extracts of birth information); documents certifying civil status information; and birth notification certificates, they must be originals or legally certified copies in accordance with the law; or electronic versions with legal validity as prescribed.
- Identity documents will not be accepted if they lack a photo or if the photo does not comply with legal regulations, except for birth certificates, birth notification certificates, civil status extracts, birth extracts, documents certifying civil status information, or documents issued by competent authorities proving escort or verification.
- If it is a Level 2 electronic identification account, the passenger's electronic birth certificate must ensure that at the time of presentation, the account is active and in normal status.
